How much do facial aesthetics treatments cost?

There’s no single price for facial aesthetics treatments. What you pay depends on the area being treated and which product is used, so a treatment that costs one price at one clinic can cost noticeably more or less at another. At Love Aesthetics in Colchester, Tanya Mitchell explains what drives the cost, and why the cheapest quote is rarely the one worth choosing.

Why there’s no fixed price for aesthetic treatments

Two things decide the price of most treatments: the area being treated, and the product used to treat it.

That’s why prices vary so much between clinics and between treatments. A non-surgical nose treatment might be priced around £180 at one clinic and £280 at another. Lip filler commonly sits around the £130 mark. A tear trough treatment, where the product alone can cost around £100, might be priced closer to £240 once the practitioner’s time and skill are accounted for.

These figures are a guide, not a fixed menu. The right price for you depends on exactly what you’re having done and what it takes to do it well.

Why the product matters

Part of what you’re paying for is the product going into your face. Not all dermal fillers and injectables are the same, and cheaper products are cheaper for a reason.

When a treatment is priced well below the going rate, the saving usually has to come from somewhere, and often that somewhere is the quality of the product being used. A price that looks too good to be true is worth asking questions about.

Why the practitioner matters more

The bigger factor is who’s holding the needle.

You’re paying for the practitioner’s skill and experience: knowing which product to use where, how much, and how to achieve a result that looks natural rather than obvious. That experience is the difference between a result you’re happy with and one you end up paying someone else to correct.

Cheaper genuinely isn’t better here. A low price often reflects a less experienced practitioner using a cheaper product and the cost of putting that right (dissolving migrated filler and starting again) can end up higher than doing it properly the first time.

What to ask before you book

Rather than comparing clinics on price alone, it’s worth asking:

  • Which product will you be using, and why that one for this area?
  • How much experience do you have with this specific treatment?
  • What result is realistically achievable for me?

A good practitioner will answer all three happily, and will tell you honestly if what you’re asking for isn’t achievable.

Common questions about facial aesthetics costs

How much does lip filler cost?

Lip filler commonly sits around £130, though the exact price depends on the product and the amount used. Your practitioner should confirm the cost at consultation.

Why is the same treatment cheaper at some clinics?

Usually because a cheaper product is being used, a less experienced practitioner is doing the work, or both. The lower price can cost more in the long run if the result needs correcting.

Is a more expensive treatment always better?

Not automatically, but price often reflects product quality and practitioner experience. The aim is the right treatment with the right product from an experienced practitioner, not the cheapest quote.

How do I get an accurate price for my treatment?

Book a consultation. Because the cost depends on the area and the product, an accurate price comes once the practitioner has seen what you’re having done and talked through the options with you.
